It’s been 8 years since I had a dream about a hunky actor, and now he’s back in my head…

25/04/2021 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Celebrities, Fun Stuff, L.J. Diva's Books, Publishing, Writing Leave a Comment

Way back in 2013 I blogged about a dream I’d had in great detail. And you can read that post right here in this link.

While I had forgotten the dream in full, and the year in which I had it, I always remembered parts of it.

Late last year in November, I was having a clean-up of this website, adding things from my Porn Star Brothers website so I could close that down, and sending lots of old posts back into draft mode. I kept coming across a post about a dream I’d had but thought nothing of it. I updated the size of the picture, changed the tags, and didn’t think anything more. And then one day, while cleaning through the posts, as it took quite a few days, I decided to read it, and lo and behold, it was a post about the dream.

My jaw hit the floor as I saw how great a detail the dream had been in and how much I’d forgotten. So I pasted the post into a word doc, tidied up the spelling, and printed it out. I then made a bullet list of points from the post and printed that out as well.

Why?

Because I’m going to turn that dream into a book.

Also…

The actor from that dream, the one I mentioned in the post and how I’d been seeing him in a Kellogs Just Right ad back then, well, he’s back on air with another ad eight years on. But this time it’s for a Toyota Hilux and the damn song playing over the top of it is Don’t Stop Believing from Journey. Or, depending on what generation you are, the whole first season of Glee.

Now, I could take this as a sign.

I generally don’t believe in signs anymore. I DID stop believing in them years ago as they never seemed to amount to anything, but in the last couple of years I’ve kind of figured that some things might just be signs after all. Like finding a black cat on my roof, for example. I bought extra lotto tickets after that, but nothing came of it. See, what’s the point in believing?

I try and listen to my muse and guides and helpers when it comes to my writing, but rarely get a whisper.

Well, if I want to stretch this ad out into a sign, then there’s been a few since 2013 and I could maybe stretch a few things that have happened recently into more signs.

So let’s start…

What and Who I did on my First Writing Holiday for 2018

03/05/2018 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Business & Legalities, Celebrities, L.J. Diva's Books, Publishing, Writing Leave a Comment

A lot, just not what was to be expected. I expected to write T.K. Wrathbone stories, but just couldn’t get my head into it thanks to Henry Cavill…

Saturday 14 –  I edited the interiors for all six Poems and redid them to my standards, plus did the Bones interiors ready to edit

Sunday 15 – continued the interiors

Monday 16 – started Bones #3 interior for corrections and typos

Tuesday 17 – had the lawn done and finished off Bones #3

Wednesday 18 – started Bones #2 for interior corrections and typos

Thursday 19 – shopping, library

Friday 20 – washing, finished off Bones #2

Saturday 21 – can’t remember what I did, probably more book stuff

Sunday 22 – as above

Monday 23 – tried to write, but it wasn’t coming, thinking about watching Henry Cavill in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. later that night

Tuesday 24 – tried to write, but had Henry Cavill in my brain. Damn that man is fine. Redid my novellas and novels interiors instead

Wednesday 25 – again, Henry Cavill, finished off the omnibus edition of Poems

Thursday 26 – shopping, library, Henry Cavill, seriously, dude, stop invading my thoughts, I can’t think…mmm…Henry Cavill…

Friday 27 – washing, blog posts scheduling, Henry Cavill…

Saturday 28 – writing, hopefully, stay away Henry Cavill…

Sunday 29 – ah, bugger it, I did Henry Cavill!

Just joking, but seriously, the man is damn fine, and for this hot-blooded single female, he is such a distraction…

Monday 30 – started writing the new T.K. Wrathbone story

Tuesday 1 may – kept writing T.K. Wrathbone

Wednesday 2 may – didn’t get to writing, but scheduled this blog post.

That’s what I recently did on my first writing holiday for the year, a bit of story writing, lots of other writing, and editing, and formatting and Henry Cavill…

Hollywood is imploding and nothing will stop it!

01/02/2018 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Celebrities, Humans & Behaviour, Manners & Decency Leave a Comment

What the hell has been happening while I’ve been away?

The #metoo campaign has ripped to shreds everything Hollywood was. Is that a good thing? Not completely, I don’t think.

When the whole Harvey Weinstein thing came out I got the really bad feeling that Hollywood was about to implode, and it’s moving at a fast pace. More and more women come out with stories; more and more men are losing their jobs. Not just in Hollywood, but it’s happening here in Aus as well.

What I find really sad about this shit, is that men are losing jobs and careers without hard evidence. They are being fired on hearsay, and as Judge Judy would say, that doesn’t hold up in a court of law.

We all know in a court of law there needs to be evidence beyond reasonable doubt. So far, there isn’t any. It’s all been hearsay. Just because women make a claim, does not make it true. And sadly, as we say here in Aus, it’s been a stacks on, which means everyone’s stacking on the movement just for the sake of it.

I generally don’t support causes, and I generally don’t believe what anyone says unless there’s hard proof, someone is arrested and charged, but so far, most haven’t been. So why are there not more arrests? Why are there not more charges?

I’m with those who think outside the box. I don’t fall at the feet of women or men just because they say something happened. I stand back, examine everything I’ve heard, read or seen, and then ask questions. Many times questions no one else seems to asks.

Like, why did she not say/do something? Why did she not go to the police?

There are many psychologists, I’m sure, being asked onto TV shows to talk about why women don’t do those things, and nine times out of ten, it’s because of fear of losing the job, or being kicked out, embarrassed, etc.

Quite frankly, no job is worth your self-respect, your self-esteem, your self-worth. Even Judge Judy would tell them to go and work at a MacDonald’s for $2 an hour just to earn money. I really don’t get why fame and fortune were more important than their mental well-being.

Do women not want to stand up for themselves? Do they not want to protect themselves and keep some form of dignity? Are they really that scared of being blackballed in the industry/never getting another job that they allow these cock sucking arseholes to get away with it?

Maybe I’m from another era, although I’m only 43, turning 44 later this year. Maybe it’s because I’m from hardy German/English/Dutch stock. Maybe it’s just because of the life I’ve had the last 25 years, I’ve learned to not take shit from people. I sure as fuck wouldn’t stick around and let it happen. I wouldn’t even entertain walking through the door if a guy answered it in a robe, and if I did and he tried something, I’d rip his cock off. Jobs are not important, your health and well-being is.

So while many think the #metoo campaign is important, and to a degree it is, I have a bad feeling it will not only turn people, men and women, against women, especially these actress, but will actually backfire in the long run. In the last month or so with awards shows, you’ve had them all wearing black, and all sniping at the men in the industry while handing out the awards. Bitch, you do that to me you’re getting my fist in your face.

Quite frankly, how fucking dare they make snide remarks like petty little bitches? Grow the fuck up and be mature adults about it.

And where were all of you and your fucking hashtag four years ago when Dylan Farrow accused her father Woody Allen? Where was your fucking hashtag two years ago when over forty women came out and claimed Bill Cosby had raped them? Where was your fucking hashtag in 2016/17 when Kesha took her producer and Sony music to court and she lost because the bastard judge said nothing had happened and Sony music told her to suck it up and get on with working with him? Where the fuck was your fucking hashtags and black dresses and campaigns then? Huh?

On SNL, they made snide remarks about how it took a week long campaign of shame to get Mark Wahlberg to give the extra money he got for the movie with Michelle Williams and Christopher Plumber to the campaign.

Bitch, the fact that you thought it was all right to shame him for having better negotiating skills than Michelle ‘piss weak’ Williams in the first place was disgusting and does not endear me to you.

No man should be shamed into something for the sake of women getting what they want. And vice versa.

How many books need to be written by successful businesswomen telling other women how to stand up for themselves so they can get the raise, the bonus and the corner office? How many more women are going to blame men for not getting ahead? How many more women are going to blame the imaginary glass ceiling for them not getting anywhere? There is no glass ceiling. The only person holding you back is YOU.

And there is plenty of proof that the glass ceiling does not exist because too many women start, run, own successful businesses. They are owners, CEOs, directors, and they didn’t let any man stop them. And if you need more proof that there is no glass ceiling, I have one word for you.

Oprah!

Hollywood is imploding, and in a couple of years at award shows, they’ll be looking around going, where are all the men?

Exactly where you put them, bitches. In the trash.

I actually feel sorry for the men losing their jobs on allegations alone, especially if the claims are not true. I know what it’s like to have lies spread about me, and it’s not fun. So I really hope there is hard evidence around somewhere, otherwise lawsuits will run rife and I for one will not be surprised.

Australian TV Networks pissing viewers off and Michael Weatherly’s Bull comes to Australia

09/03/2017 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Celebrities, Movies & TV 4 Comments

I was going to do a post about the tv show Numb3rs and how it was being repeated again and how great it was to re-watch a great tv show, however, as with Scorpion, MacGyver and Hawaii Five-0, it has been removed much to people’s viewing displeasure. Thanks for nothing Channel 10!!!!!!

Australian networks treat American shows like shit these days because they’re too busy showing locally produced reality shit.

The amount of shows that suffer, Blue Bloods, Survivor, Criminal Minds, and the spin off, NCIS New Orleans, Code Black, Elementary, Limitless, Life in Pieces, The Odd Couple, Mom, Two Broke Girls, Zoo and the list goes on across other shows on other networks. No wonder people watch for free online. I have to watch Grimm and Walking Dead online.

The one decision Channel 10 made was to bring Bull to Sunday nights. NCIS originally started off on Sunday nights before moving to Tuesday nights about two years later and it’s stayed there, which is the only thing Channel 10 has stuck to.

I love me some Michael Weatherly (don’t love me any Dr Phil) and I only watched NCIS for him. For those who saw early posts of mine you’d know how much I did love him because I called him my gorgeously gorgeous husband. I have since stopped watching NCIS and now we finally have Bull. The only problem, it’s opposite Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles!

Bah!

Here’s some pics of Michael from Bull looking his best. Funny thing is, he used to wear glasses for decades before he got his eyes lasered.

I LOVE THIS PROMO!!!! his eyes are so dreamy!!!!

Potty mouths, toilet humour and a couple of songs lyrics poking fun at celebrites

04/08/2016 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Celebrities, Music & Radio, The English Language 2 Comments

While writing up my song lyrics a few weeks back I, for some reason, starting laughing at the term potty mouth.

Seriously, who calls it a potty? A potty is for toddlers to learn to sit on to do a “number 2”. Bahahaha. What it should be called for adults is what adults call it, toilet.

Toilet mouth!

I know it doesn’t sound as “polite”, lol, but it’s probably not meant to in the first place. Potty is just a weird word to use for swearing and toilet is used for “toilet humour” which is also a ridiculous phrase.

But I kept laughing because with the way my brain works it kept going and rolling the conversation I was having with myself on, and it went from calling it potty mouth to toilet mouth and then came ‘because when it backs, up shit comes out’.

Which is true, isn’t it, lol. So that’s a new phrase for me.

‘Toilet mouth. Because when it backs up, shit comes out.’

Bahahahaha!

Below are two sets of song lyrics I wrote about celebrities (I’m no Eminem) way back in 1992 and 1993, still slightly relevant, especially OVEREXPOSED and a certain family that are never out of the rag mags.

Finally got to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Aren’t Henry and Armie just so disgustingly good looking!

03/03/2016 by L.J. Diva Filed Under: Celebrities, Movies & TV 1 Comment

I finally got to watch The Man From U.N.C.L.E over the summer holidays, a good copy that is and not a dodgy version online, and I gotta say it was actually quite good.

It wasn’t the best movie ever, but if you love action movies, or movies based on tv shows, which there are a tonne of, and both Henry and Armie have been in movies made from tv shows (Superman and The Lone Ranger which was a good movie too), then this is a good movie to watch for a few hours.

With an appearance by Hugh Grant, the movie goes on a tad too long, but there’s plenty of action and double crossings, plus some fun comedic parts thrown in.

The one thing that irked me was Solo was supposed to be this big professional spy, yet he drank the drink. Don’t you know you never drink a drink your enemy offers you!

As for Henry and Armie, aren’t they disgustingly good looking!

And I mean disgusting, just look at how disgustingly good looking they are…

Just too, too disgusting. Oh, way too disgustingly good looking…yes…way too good looking to look at…way to good looking….

Here’s the trailer just so you can see how disgustingly good looking they are in the movie…
